We are thrilled to provide an update on the exciting times here at Tire Discounter Group. Thanks to your support we have
been able to build a comprehensive 10-year plan and our focus remains on seeing these aspirations become a reality.
We are thrilled to provide you all with an update on how things are progressing!
- The successful expansion of our London DC was completed on time and has now been open in its 55,000 square feet of space for a year now.
We are thrilled to have our first DC open in Toronto with 140,000 square feet and an expanded fleet of delivery vehicles servicing the heart of Toronto! The focus is on continuing to bring our incredible service model to a new group of customers that look forward to welcoming into the family.
While we aspired to see us outgrow our main DC in East Garafraxa, we were pleasantly surprised to see how fast it happened. I was thrilled to task the team with the next part of our expansion and they once again came in on schedule and we opened up the additional 80,000 square feet in September of 2023!
This journey that we have been on, started all they way back in 1966 when my Dad and Mom (Fred and Joyce) founded Tire Discounter. I was fortunate to purchase this and keep it in the family in 2011 and take it to a whole new level in the past 12 years. I find it flattering that there are so many rumours swirling around about Tire Discounter being acquired and I am please to say that they are just that, rumours. I am excited about our growth plans for the next 10 years.
Our focus remains on executing our plan and continuing to bring the excellent TDG experience to our extended family
members, in the form of our customers and are vendor partners. This will include but is certainly not limited to:
Investing in new technology to better serve all customers.
Continuing to invest in new Distribution Centers across the province.
Expanding our philanthropy in the communities that we serve in.
Hosting and having a ton of fun at many more events.
